Sept. 25, 1836 that Perry Davis joined his company, March 25, 1836 and had served faithfully for six months, and that he had also served with Col. Fannin, where he lost his father and brother. [CMSR, State Library.]

The several versions of the T&TR roll of Fannin's men and LOMR for Winn's Company all agree that Walter W. Davis was Second Corporal of Winn's Company and perished with it at Goliad in the general massacre of March 27, 1836.

AgeShackelford's Company

Day was one of Shackelford's men carried on LOMR as having been killed at massacre on March 27, 1836. This also appears from the original and all subsequent versions of the T&TR roll of Fannin's men, and the files of the General Land Office, which show that bounty and donation certificates were issued by Commission of Claims to heirs of H. B. Day, he having "fallen with Fannin."
