RICHARD PAYNE, a former practicing architect in Texas, is one of the nation's most respected and accomplished architectural photographers. He has worked worldwide for many of the nation's leading architectural design firms and publishers. In addition to giving lectures and seminars on architecture and fine art photography throughout the Southwest, he has served as adjunct professor at the College of Architecture at the University of Houston and at Texas A&M University. In 1992 he was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.
