RED FISH BAR
RED FISH BAR. Red Fish Bar, also known as Red Fish Reef, was formed by an oyster-shell reef that begins off San Leon in north central Galveston County and extends northeastward toward Red Fish Island, dividing Galveston Bay in half (at 29°30' N, 94°52' W). The bar was long considered a hazard to navigation.
