INDIAN POINT. Indian Point separates Nueces Bay and Corpus Christi Bay on the Nueces county line southwest of Portland in south central San Patricio County (at 27°51' N, 97°21' W). It extends into the bays as Indian Reef. State Highway 35 (Farm Road 181) forms a bridge from Indian Point to Rincon Point, across the bay, to reach Corpus Christi. Low rolling to flat terrain around the point is surfaced by sandy and clay loam that supports scrub brush and grasses.
