CONTRABANDO WATER HOLE
CONTRABANDO WATER HOLE. Contrabando Water Hole, a natural lake, is on the western edge of Contrabando Mountain in southeastern Presidio County (at 29°19' N, 103°48' W). It is set in desert mountain terrain. Its volcanic rock is surfaced by light reddish-brown to brown sand, clay loam, and rough stone. Sparse grasses, cacti, and desert shrubs grow in the area.
