STEAMBOAT MOUNTAIN (Kimble County). Steamboat Mountain is a mile east of the Little Devils River in the lower northeastern corner of Kimble County (at 30°28' N, 99°22' W). It reaches an elevation 1,991 feet in an area where the terrain is flat with deep, local dissections. Native vegetation consists of live oak, juniper, ash, and mesquite, growing in shallow and stony soils.
