SAWMILL MOUNTAIN. Sawmill Mountain is three miles north of Terlingua in southwestern Brewster County (at 29°22' N, 103°37' W). At an elevation of 3,797 feet above sea level, it rises some 900 feet above the town. Shallow, stony soils on the mountain support scrub brush and grasses.
