ROYSTON HILL. Royston Hill is a summit two miles southwest of Smithville in southeastern Bastrop County (at 29°59' N, 97°14' W). It is 575 feet high in a region of flat to rolling terrain with local escarpments. The surrounding sandy and clayey loam soils support post oak woods.
