PINE MESA. Pine Mesa is on the northern edge of the Glass Mountains, three miles from the Brewster county line in southwest Pecos County (at 30°31' N, 103°09' W). Its summit rises to an elevation of 4,622 feet. The shallow, stony soils over limestone and limy earths support a range of mesquite, juniper, shin oak, and prickly pear. Area landforms vary from flat and undulating to deeply and densely dissected.
