LEON MOUNTAIN

LEON MOUNTAIN. Leon Mountain is three miles northeast of Terlingua in southwestern Brewster County (at 29°21' N, 103°34' W). At an elevation of 3,062 feet above sea level, it is 400 feet higher than Farm Road 170, a mile to the south. Soils on Leon Mountain are shallow, and vegetation is sparse.
