FLAT TOP PEAK
FLAT TOP PEAK. Flat Top Peak is seven miles northwest of Lampasas in south central Lampasas County (at 31°09' N, 98°15' W). Its summit, at an elevation of 1,531 feet above sea level, rises 200 feet above nearby Lucy Creek. The peak stands in an area of the Grand Prairie region characterized by shallow clay loam soils and steep slopes and limestone benches that often give a stairstep appearance to the surrounding landscape. Local vegetation includes grasses and open stands of live oak, mesquite, and Ashe juniper.
