COMANCHE PEAK (El Paso County). Comanche Peak is a half mile northwest of Scenic Drive and a mile west of Newman Park in northwestern El Paso County (at 31°48' N, 106°29' W). The peak, at an elevation of 5,225 feet above sea level, rises 1,160 feet above Scenic Drive. Shallow, stony soils on the mountain support scrub brush and grasses.
