WILLOW CREEK (LLANO COUNTY)
WILLOW CREEK (Llano County). Willow Creek rises on the slopes of Magill Mountain four miles northeast of the town of Valley Spring in northwest Llano County (at 30°54' N, 98°47' W) and runs south for 12½ miles to its mouth on Johnson Creek, 5½ miles west of Llano (at 30°47' N, 98°46' W). It traverses an area of the Llano Basinqv characterized by terrain that ranges from flat to rolling to steep, with local dissection and escarpments, covered with soils that range from shallow and rocky to deep clay loams. Vegetation consists primarily of open stands of live oak and mesquite.
