WILLOW CREEK (COOKE COUNTY)
WILLOW CREEK (Cooke County). Willow Creek rises four miles southwest of Gainesville in south central Cooke County (at 33°35' N, 97°13' W) and runs south six miles to its mouth on Spring Creek, just outside of Gainesville (at 33°31' N, 97°11' W). The surrounding variable terrain is surfaced by shallow, stony clay loams that support oak, cacti, and grasses. For most of the county's history, the Willow Creek area has been used as range and crop land.
