WANDER'S CREEK. Wander's Creek, also known as Bayou Wander, rises just north of Farm Road 1087 in northeastern Nacogdoches County (at 31°50' N, 94°36' W) and runs southeast for seven miles to its mouth on Naconiche Creek, two miles southeast of Whispering Pines Girl Scout Camp (at 31°45' N, 94°29' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It crosses flat terrain with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
