WALNUT CREEK (ERATH COUNTY)
WALNUT CREEK (Erath County). Walnut Creek rises one mile west of Dublin in southeast Erath County (at 32°04' N, 98°24' W) and runs southwest fourteen miles to its mouth on the Leon River, one mile east of Proctor Lake in central Comanche County (at 31°57' N, 98°27' W). The creek is intermittent in its upper reaches. It crosses steep slopes and benches surfaced by shallow clay and sandy loam that supports juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
