VIOLET CREEK. Violet Creek rises three miles northeast of Nelson City in central Kendall County (at 29°55' N, 98°46' W) and runs northeast for four miles to its mouth on the Guadalupe River, five miles east of Waring (at 29°57' N, 98°44' W). It crosses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support hardwoods and grasses.
