VILLAGE CREEK (VAN ZANDT COUNTY)
VILLAGE CREEK (Van Zandt County). Village Creek rises in northeast Van Zandt County near the Smith county line (at 32°35' N, 95°37' W) and runs twelve miles northeast to its mouth (at 32°37' N, 95°29' W) on the Sabine River in northwest Smith County. Flat terrain with local shallow depressions is surfaced by clay and sandy loam which supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
