TURKEY ROOST CREEK. Turkey Roost Creek rises 6½ miles south of Sloan in southwestern San Saba County (at 31°03' N, 98°54' W) and runs northwest for 8½ miles to its mouth on the San Saba River (at 31°08' N, 98°56' W). The stream crosses an area characterized by flat terrain with localized dissection. Vegetation primarily consists of live oak, Ashe juniper, mesquite, and grasses growing in stony and shallow clayey soils.
