SALT CREEK (LA SALLE COUNTY)
SALT CREEK (La Salle County). Salt Creek rises eight miles north of Cotulla in northwestern La Salle County (at 28°34' N, 99°16' W) and runs south for ten miles to its mouth on the Nueces River 1½ miles west of Cotulla (at 28°27' N, 99°16' W). Low rolling to flat terrain with local dissections and locally shallow depressions is surfaced by deep to shallow clay and sandy loams which support scrub brush, cacti, and grasses in its upper reaches and water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses in its lower reaches.
