SANDY CREEK (HOUSTON COUNTY)
SANDY CREEK (Houston County). Sandy Creek rises two miles east of Burrantown in northeastern Houston County (at 31°30' N, 95°10' W) and flows east for five miles to its mouth on Camp Creek near the Cherokee county line (at 31°30' N, 95°07' W). Flat terrain is surfaced by clay and sandy loam which supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
