SPRING CREEK (Jasper County). Spring Creek rises at a small unnamed pool three miles south of Bevilport in western Jasper County (at 30°53' N, 94°08' W) and flows to the west for one mile to its mouth (at 30°52' N, 94°10' W) on B. A. Steinhagen Lake, impounded in 1951 at the completion of the Town Bluff Dam. Before this time, Spring Creek was roughly two miles long and flowed into the Neches River.
