SKINOUT CREEK. Skinout Creek rises eight miles west of Anson in western Jones County (at 32°45' N, 100°02' W) and runs northeast for ten miles to its mouth on California Creek, one mile west of Fairview Cemetery (at 32°54' N, 99°58' W). The surrounding flat to gently sloping terrain is surfaced by moderately deep to shallow silt loam that supports mesquite and grasses.
