SAND CREEK (Zavala County). Sand Creek rises three miles west of La Pryor in central Zavala County (at 28°56' N, 99°54' W) and runs southwest for eleven miles to end in the Nueces River two miles north of Crystal City (at 28°49' N, 99°48' W). Low rolling to flat terrain in the area is surfaced by deep to shallow, sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush, cacti, and grasses.
