SALT CREEK (BROWN COUNTY)
SALT CREEK (Brown County). Salt Creek rises in northeastern Brown County (at 31°53' N, 98°51' W) and runs southwest ten miles to its mouth (at 31°48' N, 98°58' W) on Pecan Bayou five miles north of Brownwood. Flat terrain with local shallow depressions is surfaced by clay and sandy loam which supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
