RUSH CREEK (NAVARRO COUNTY)
RUSH CREEK (Navarro County). Rush Creek, formerly known as Cottonwood Creek, rises just east of Blooming Grove in northwestern Navarro County (at 32° 06' N, 96° 43' W) and flows southeast for fifteen miles to its mouth on Richland Creek, three miles south of Corbet (at 31° 58' N, 96° 32' W). The stream flows through flat to rolling terrain surfaced with clayey and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
