RED PAINT CREEK
RED PAINT CREEK. Red Paint Creek rises three miles west of Stamford in north central Jones County (at 32°56' N, 99°53' W) and runs northeast thirteen miles to its mouth on Paint Creek, four miles northeast of Stamford in south central Haskell County (33°00' N, 99°51' W). Densely dissected gullies and low hills are surfaced by shallow or absent soils and sparse plants.
