RAY'S CREEK. Ray's Creek rises a mile northwest of South Sulphur in north central Hunt County (at 33°18' N, 96°00' W) and runs southeast for 5½ miles to its mouth on the South Sulphur River, 4½ miles southwest of Commerce (at 33°13' N, 95°59' W). The stream traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by dark, commonly calcareous clays and deep, fine, sandy loams that support hardwood trees, conifers, cacti, and grasses.
