ROCK CREEK (Frio County). Rock (Rocky) Creek rises four miles north of the LaSalle county line fifteen miles east of Dilley in far southeastern Frio County (at 28°42' N, 98°56' W) and runs southwest for nine miles to its mouth on Ruiz Creek, fourteen miles northeast of Millet in northeast LaSalle County (at 28°37' N, 98°58' W). The area has a flat terrain, with local shallow depressions, surfaced by expansive clays that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and various grasses.
