ROCKY CREEK (GONZALES COUNTY)
ROCKY CREEK (Gonzales County). Rocky Creek, sometimes called Barton Creek, rises two miles west of Shiner in northeastern Gonzales County (at 29°26' N, 97°14' W) and runs southwest for seven mile to its mouth on the Guadalupe River, two miles southwest of Kokernot (at 29°24' N, 97°18' W). The surrounding flat to rolling terrain is surfaced by sandy loam and clay that support hardwoods, pines, and a variety of grasses.
