ROCKY CREEK (Gonzales County). Rocky Creek rises in southern Gonzales County just northeast of the Karnes-Gonzales county line (at 29°09' N, 97°38' W) and runs northeast for 10½ miles to its mouth on Sandies Creek, a mile northwest of Sample (at 29°14' N, 97°33' W). The low rolling hills and prairies in the area are surfaced by sandy to clay loams that support various grasses and some mesquite.
