RICHARDSON CREEK. Richardson Creek rises five miles east of Stephenville in southeastern Erath County (at 32°11' N, 98°07' W) and runs northeast for sixteen miles to its mouth on the Paluxy River, eight miles south of Tolar in southwestern Hood County (at 32°17' N, 97°55' W). The flood-prone area is surrounded by steep slopes and surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
