RESACA DE LOS FRESNOS
RESACA DE LOS FRESNOS. Resaca de los Fresnos rises five miles southeast of La Feria and one mile east of State Route 506 in southwestern Cameron County (at 26°07' N, 97°45' W) and runs sixty-one miles northeast to its mouth on a ditch three miles northwest of Bayview (at 26°09' N, 97°30' W). It traverses low-rolling to flat terrain surfaced by deep to shallow sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush and cacti. Fresno is Spanish for "ash tree."
