REDMUD CREEK (JONES COUNTY)
REDMUD CREEK (Jones County). Redmud Creek rises just southwest of Anson in central Jones County (at 32°44' N, 99°57' W) and runs ten miles northeast to its mouth (at 32°53' N, 99°47' W) on California Creek two miles northwest of Avoca. Flat terrain with local shallow depressions is surfaced by clay and sandy loam which support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
