PICOSA CREEK. Picosa Creek rises a mile south of Fairview in western Wilson County (at 29°08' N, 98°19' W) and runs southeast for ten miles to its mouth on the San Antonio River, two miles south of Floresville (at 29°06' N, 98°10' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
