PINEY CREEK (Titus County). Piney Creek rises in eastern Titus County (at 33°13' N, 95°01' W) eight miles northeast of Mount Pleasant and runs northeast for seven miles to its mouth (at 33°19' N, 94°59' W) on East Piney Creek, just above the mouth of East Piney Creek on White Oak Creek. The gently undulating to rolling area through which the creek flows is surfaced by loamy soils and is heavily wooded, with pine trees predominating.
