PEACH CREEK (BRAZOS COUNTY)
PEACH CREEK (Brazos County). Peach Creek rises one-half mile west of Frierson Lake and 1½ miles east of Wellborn Road and the Southern Pacific Railroad in Brazos County (at 30°32' N, 96°18' W). The stream flows east for fourteen miles and empties into the Navasota River at the Brazos-Grimes county line (at 30°30' N, 96°08' W). The terrain is flat and has local shallow depressions. Soils consist of clay loams and sandy loams. The vegetation includes water-resistant hardwoods, conifers and grasses. The Texas International Speedway, which brings world-class stock car racing to the Brazos Valley each year, is located in the Peach Creek area.
