PANTHER CREEK (Palo Pinto County). Panther Creek rises (at 32°37' N, 98°26' W) in southwestern Palo Pinto County five miles north of Mingus and runs southeast for four miles to its mouth (at 32°35' N, 98°24' W) on Palo Pinto Creek, 1½ miles west of Farm Road 919. It traverses an area of moderately to steeply sloping hills, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support oak, grasses, and mesquite.
