OWEN BRANCH. Owen (Owens) Branch rises one mile northeast of Moab in western Lee County (at 30°21' N, 97°06' W) and flows northeast for 5½ miles to its mouth on Coupeland Branch, four miles southwest of Lexington (at 30°23' N, 97°04' W). The creek flows through flat to rolling terrain with local escarpments and mostly deep, fine sandy loam soils. Vegetation in the region consists primarily of hardwood forests and grasses.
