MUSTANG CREEK (CONCHO COUNTY)
MUSTANG CREEK (Concho County). Mustang Creek, also known as Kelley's Creek, rises a half mile east of Millersview in northeastern Concho County (at 31°25' N, 99°44' W), and flows twelve miles northeast to its mouth (at 31°28' N, 99°38' W) on the Colorado River, nine miles northeast of Millersview. It traverses flat to rolling terrain, marked in places by steep slopes and benches, and surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support grasses, oaks, junipers, and mesquites. Tributaries include the North, West, and Middle forks of Mustang Creek. The U-Bar and OH Ranch, one of the early ranches of Concho County, had its headquarters on Mustang Creek.
