MEDIO CREEK (KARNES COUNTY)
MEDIO CREEK (Karnes County). Medio Creek rises just east of Bainville in southwestern Karnes County (at 28°45' N, 97°56' W) and runs southeast for forty-five miles, forming a portion of the county line between Karnes and Bee counties, crossing eastern Bee County, and continuing into western Refugio County, where it runs into the Mission River two miles west of Refugio (at 28°19' N, 97°19' W). It is intermittent in its upper reaches. The stream traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
