LONG BRANCH (Jackson County). Long Branch rises (at 29°05' N, 96°27' W) in Jackson County 1½ miles southeast of Louise and runs south for two miles to its mouth (at 29°04' N, 96°27' W) on West Mustang Creek. It traverses flat to rolling prairie surfaced by gray loam over a gray clay subsoil. The local vegetation includes mesquite and a variety of bunch grasses.
