LITTLE CREEK (DALLAS COUNTY)
LITTLE CREEK (Dallas County). Little Creek rises southeast of Cedar Hill in southwestern Dallas County (at 32°35' N, 96°56' W) and runs southeast for nine miles to its mouth on Red Oak Creek, a half mile south of Red Oak in northern Ellis County (at 32°31' N, 96°50' W). It is intermittent in its upper reaches. The creek crosses flat to rolling prairie with occasional steep slopes. The soils along the creek's banks are predominantly clayey. Where development has not occurred, the creek's banks are moderately to heavily covered with oak and juniper woods and grasses.
