LEOPARD CREEK (THROCKMORTON COUNTY)
LEOPARD CREEK (Throckmorton County). Leopard Creek rises at State Highway 79 three miles west of Elbert in northeast Throckmorton County (at 33°18' N, 99°04' W) and runs east for eight miles to its mouth on the Brazos River, a mile west of Farm Road 1711 and a mile north of State Highway 79 (at 33°17' N, 98°58' W). The surrounding rolling hills are surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, cacti, grasses, live oak, and juniper.
