LAKE CREEK (PALO PINTO COUNTY)
LAKE CREEK (Palo Pinto County). Lake Creek rises in southern Palo Pinto County (at 32°39' N, 98°29' W) and runs east for twelve miles to its mouth on Lake Palo Pinto, a mile northeast of Whit Mountain (at 32°39' N, 98°18' W). The local terrain consists of rolling hills, at an elevation of 1,000–1,100 feet above sea level, surfaced by stony clay loam that supports live oak, juniper, and grasses. Area wildlife includes deer and turkey.
