HOG CREEK (Concho County). Hog Creek rises 11½ miles south of Paint Rock in west central Concho County (at 31°21' N, 99°55' W) and runs north for 14½ miles to its mouth on the Concho River, a mile east of Paint Rock (at 31°31' N, 99°54' W). It traverses an area of steep slopes and benches, surfaced by shallow clay loams that support grasses, live oaks, junipers, and mesquites.
