GRAPE CREEK (LLANO COUNTY)
GRAPE CREEK (Llano County). Grape Creek, a spring-fed stream, rises three miles west of Oxford in south central Llano County (at 30°37' N, 98°45' W) and runs south for four miles to its mouth on Sandy Creek, three miles southwest of Oxford (at 30°34' N, 98°44' W). It traverses an area of the Llano basin characterized by flat to rolling terrain, with soils ranging from sandy to clay loams. Local vegetation consists primarily of open stands of live oak and mesquite.
