FLAT PAINT CREEK
FLAT PAINT CREEK. Flat Paint Creek rises a mile east of Stamford in north central Jones County (at 32°56' N, 99°46' W) and runs northeast seven miles to its mouth on Paint Creek, five miles northeast of Stamford in south central Haskell County (at 33°00' N, 99°41' W). It traverses an area of densely dissected gullies and low hills, with shallow or absent soils and sparse plants.
