FIVEMILE CREEK (MENARD COUNTY)
FIVEMILE CREEK (Menard County). Fivemile Creek rises six miles north of Saline in southeastern Menard County (at 30°48' N, 99°33' W) and runs north for ten miles to its mouth on the San Saba River, two miles north of Hext (at 30°54' N, 99°32' W). It traverses rolling prairie surfaced by shallow to moderately deep clay loams that support oak, juniper, mesquite, and grasses.
