ELM CREEK (KINNEY COUNTY)
ELM CREEK (Kinney County). Elm Creek rises ten miles northeast of Brackettville in north central Kinney County (at 29°27' N, 100°20' W) and runs southwest for thirty-one miles to its mouth on Las Moras Creek, six miles northwest of Spofford (at 29°12' N, 100°30' W). Hardwoods, conifers, and various grasses grow along the creek, which runs through flat terrain with locally shallow depressions. Area soils consist of expansive clays.
